The 143 Method is your road map to Live a Lifestyle of Love & Balance. The Balanced but Barely podcast is the vehicle to travel that road. Stress management techniques and self-regulation tools provided through yoga, meditation, “me moments”, sleep hygiene, and nutrition is what fuels the vehicle to travel the road. The 143 Method is a combination of goal setting, resource analysis, and behavior modification. Sounds complicated, right? It’s not, I promise. The 143 Method works with the time and resources you have available to you now. Because you have what you need right now to live the life you dream of. You know what you need to do. You just might not know how to uncover those tools and techniques. You might not have the support system you need. You might not have the bandwidth you need to start. That’s where I come in!
As a person who was desperate to be safe, happy, loved, and alive, I created CarlaJean143 as a space for real, honest wellness - the kind of space where you don’t have to pretend life is perfectly balanced or neatly figured out. This was born out of my own journey through trauma, growth, anxiety, healing, and learning how to show up for myself even on the hard days. I wanted to build something that feels both elevated and deeply human - a place where self-work meets self-compassion, and where people can feel seen in the messy, in-between moments. The offerings from CarlaJean143 are for anyone who’s doing the work, craving more, and becoming who they’re meant to be…one imperfect step at a time.
143 represents “I love you.” In the 1990’s, we did not have cell phones or texting. We had beepers. Yes, ancient technology. LOL. When you wanted to tell them you loved them, you entered the numbers “143” when you paged them. 143 is my way to remind myself that I love myself and that you can love yourself too.
